- Caryn Rivadeneira is the award-winning author of more than twenty-five books for both children and adults, including the award-winning Frankinschool Mystery Series; Edward and Annie: A Penguin Adventure (Shedd Aquarium and Tommy Nelson, 2022); Grit and Grace: Heroic Women of the Bible (Beaming Books, 2017), and the Helper Hounds series (Red Chair Press). Caryn also collaborated with the creative team on developing Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s Buster the Racecar series. In everything she writes, Caryn seeks to write stories that spark wonder, fuel curiosity, and craft worlds that help kids and adults find their place in this one. In addition to writing, Caryn is a sought-after book editor and collaborator. Caryn is a proud member of Authors Against Book Bans; INK: A Creative Collective; Chicago Writers Association; and the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators. She holds a BA in English from Calvin University and an MA in Worship from Northern Seminary. Caryn lives in the near-west suburbs of Chicago with her husband, her three kids, and two beloved rescued pit bulls.
