  • A blogging friend recently described me as an “observer of the world.” I'm just wired that way. I was a Pioneer Press free-lance reporter in Chicagoland in the 90s, and I also worked at Legacy.com; the company which hosts obituary pages for newspapers around the world. What I saw there was incredible. I write a variety of non-fiction posts on my Leaving the Door Open blog and I am currently working on my memoir; a mix of art, addiction and mental health trials. I'm definitely a life-long learner. I've been published in Literary Mama, Illinois Parks & Recreation, The Rotarian and the Story Circle Network’s Anthology Series.
