- Rick Kaempfer is the co-founder and publisher of Eckhartz Press, a boutique Chicago publishing company. As of March 2019, Eckhartz Press has released fifty titles, including the memoirs of local celebrities like television news anchors Joel Daly and Rich King, radio personalities John Landecker, Chet Coppock, Bobby Skafish, and Mitch Michaels, and Chicago writing institutions like Chicago Literary Hall of Fame founder Donald G. Evans, and Chicago Writer's Association president Randy Richardson. In addition to being the author of four Eckhartz Press releases himself, Father Knows Nothing, Records Truly Is My Middle Name (with John Records Landecker), The Living Wills (with Brendan Sullivan), and EveryCubEver, Rick was previously published by New York publishers (including a novel $everance and a how-to-book about radio called The Radio Producer’s Handbook).
