- Luke is a former award-winning journalist from Oklahoma City who relocated to Chicago in 2020. He currently works as a nonprofit communications manager and holds a master's degree in public policy. His professional portfolio focuses on using brand storytelling to share the authentic experiences of the impact nonprofits can generate. Since he was 8 years old, Luke has been writing something. During his childhood, he wrote short stories about the adventures of his favorite video game characters and stern letters to politicians on his parents' Brother Word Processor. What fun. In college, Luke was the editor-in-chief of his college newspaper. He reported for the arts and entertainment desk and focused on feature writing, which earned him a several top-three finishes in the "Story of the Year" awards (and a couple first-place prizes) from the Oklahoma Society of Professional Journalists. Luke currently lives in Wicker Park with his wife and two dogs. He writes fiction from his kitchen-table-turned-desk at night.
