Catherine L. Tully is a full-time freelance writer specializing in the arts, business, education and travel, among other subjects. Her writing appears in magazines such as Boys’ Life, Dance Teacher, Chicagoland Business Elite, Classical Singer, Writers’ Journal and many others. She is also a regular contributor to a variety of lifestyle publications in the Chicago area.
Catherine writes for the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts’ (NFAA) publication, youngARTS, and has had her travel writing published in magazines ranging from American Style to Fido Friendly. Her work has been included in a Travelers’ Tales anthology and she also writes for several different healthcare publications across the nation.
Catherine authors a weekly health/wellness newsletter for a Chicago company who has a client list that includes The MacArthur Foundation, Hyatt Corporation and the Chicago Board of Trade. She has also collaborated with two other professors on a college-level fitness textbook currently being piloted at a Chicago-area university.

Catherine is involved primarily with non-fiction magazine writing, but she also posts podcasts and other resources for writers on Freelance-Zone.com, a blog she co-edits with her partner, Joe Wallace. In 2009 the blog made the Writer's Digest "Top 101 Websites for Writers" list.
