Christine Sneed is the author of four books, the novels Little Known Facts and Paris, He Said, and two story collections, The Virginity of Famous Men and Portraits of a Few of the People I've Made Cry. Her short stories have appeared in The Best American Short Stories, The O. Henry Prize Stories , New Stories from the Midwest, Ploughshares, New England Review, Glimmer Train and a number of other periodicals. She has been a finalist for the Los Angeles Times Book Prize, has won the Chicago Public Library Foundation's 21st Century Award, Ploughshares' John C. Zacharis Prize, Chicago Writers Association Book of the Year, the Society of Midland Author's award for Best Adult Fiction and a number of other honors. She is the director of Northwestern University's MFA/MA in Creative Writing program and lives in Evanston.
