ChicagoHotels.org offers a selection of more than 300 hotels in Chicago. It belongs to CheapHotels.org network of hotel booking sites.

First Things First! Writing Contest Winners

The winners of the CWA's First Things First! writing contest, in order of finish, are: Bethany Hiitola, Mary T. Wagner and Gracie Hill. Their challenge was to take one of ten famous opening sentences from literary works and build from there. There were no restrictions on how they built it. They could use poetry, fiction or nonfiction. But they were limited in how big they could build it. Five hundred words to be exact.

CWA Teams Up to Mentor Teen Writers

The Wintry City Writing Contest

Chicago is known as The Windy City. But this year it seems more like The Wintry City. So warm up those writing fingers and pen your best short story, essay or poem, no more than 1,000 words, using the theme: The Wintry City.
